My name is Ed Coons and this is my wife Deborah.

I would like to tell you a little more about us and our background. My wife and I are originally from Kentucky, we have traveled to Florida and vacationed here for well over 30 years and absolutely love it.

Deborah is a retired pediatric dental assistant; she worked in that field for over 25 years.

I am a BIG fisherman and love to be on or around the water and on the beach. That's one of the main reasons why we moved to Florida and of course the weather.

To tell you a little about myself and my background. I was a police officer for almost 8 years. While working hard in my position, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. I worked 3rd shift patrol for the majority of that time.

Prior to my law enforcement career, I owned and operated a small carpet and floor cleaning business, (Take Extra Care). I did that from 1994 until 2000. Although police work was very rewarding, I missed my customers and my carpet cleaning business a great deal. So, in the beginning of 2008, I resigned from my position as a police officer and went back into my carpet and floor cleaning business full time. Nothing quite like working for yourself.

I continued with my business from 2008 until 2022, right up until we sold our home and our business, purchased a little place in Ormond Beach and moved to Florida.

Upon moving here and living here for a while, I have really missed my customers and the customer service side of my business. You see, I have worked with the public my whole adult life, from being a police officer to running my business. I really enjoy providing a service and helping others.

That's when TEC Floor Services or Take Extra Care Floor Services was born. We look forward to providing quality floor and carpet cleaning services for your business in and around the Ormond Beach, Florida area.
